To start with, I marked my drill site with a small punch and drilled a 1/8 inch pilot hole. In order for my hands and drill to fit into the tight space, I also had to remove the vacuum motor attached to the EGR cooler. By removing the EGR cooler pipe I would be able to insert my finger and a telescoping magnet into the manifold to remove any particles of metal.
